Nous is like having the best PA I could wish for

“Nous got me a really good deal on my mobile – I just didn’t have it in me to look into it to that level. In general I think I’m quite good at handling bills, but I don’t want to give up too much of my time and energy levels.”

Ania, who lives in London with her dog Olly and works as a partner in the property sector, always wanted a PA to look after all her life admin for her. She was pretty good at staying on top of things like contracts bills, but never wanted to spend hours of her free time doing it.

After her employer, Gerald Eve, rolled out Nous membership to their employees she jumped at the chance to have us manage her bills for her. Within a couple of weeks we found her a saving of more than £200 on her mobile contract, and handled the admin of switching her over.

Nous saved Ania more than £200 on her mobile by switching her to a better deal

What was your approach to managing bills before you joined Nous?

My dream has always been to have a PA to sort out things like bills and deals for flights and tickets. Sadly that’s not on the cards right now!

I think I was quite good at it, it’s something I would tackle once every two or three years to make sure I’m getting a good price and am on top of things.

It’s so annoying that the best way to get a good deal is to call and phone them up, but that takes so much time. You end up explaining things over and over. Companies just don’t care about ongoing customers – they just care about new customers.

Were you ever burned by a bad experience with a provider?

With my contents insurance, it was about to autorenew last year and I realised it was about double the amount. I did some research and it turned out it shouldn't be that high, so I had to call them. After speaking to them they reduced the quote and it ended up about a third less that I had originally been paying.

My worst experience was with EE for mobile, they just don’t care. I used them for literally 20 years and they were never ever willing to reduce the cost by even £5 for such a loyal customer. That’s annoying because we’re not talking about big money, but I think loyalty should be recognised.

How did you find the process of switching with Nous?

It went very smoothly, I signed up via my employer and had a video call with Nous, where one of the team explained things in a simple, straightforward way. After that I signed up straight away – it was very easy and short.

The way you communicate with customers on WhatsApp is very efficient and straightforward. It’s convenient not to wait for a phone call or an email and I really appreciate the prompt responses when I have a question.

Were you surprised to find out how much you could save?

I was surprised about the amount on my mobile – I thought I paid quite little. It was about £20 and I hadn’t looked into other options. So when I saw I could save £200 I thought – wow, that’s a lot.

I’m trying to save up for a car so that money will probably go towards that. I’d like an SUV but I haven’t decided which model yet.

What’s your favourite thing about being a Nous member?

I trust that you’re finding me a deal so I don’t have to worry about it and I don’t need to think about it. It’s like having the best PA I could wish for.

Nous takes care of all your worries and the time you spend making sure you get the best deals on your utility bills. You take away all the worry and energy and time you have to spend getting the best deal for your family.
